Arycs Technologies Introduces 100G ZR QSFP28 Coherent Module for Network Edge AI Connectivity

Los Gatos, CA March 12, 2026

Arycs Technologies, today announced its low-power 100G ZR QSFP28 coherent module, designed to enable high-performance optical connectivity for network edge AI connectivity and metro edge networks. The compact pluggable module delivers coherent-class performance in a power-efficient QSFP28 form factor, enabling operators to deploy high-capacity optical links in existing space and power constrained environments. As AI-driven workloads continue to generate massive data flows across distributed infrastructure, operators require optical solutions capable of efficiently connecting edge locations and regional network hubs. The Arycs 100G ZR QSFP28 coherent module addresses these requirements by combining its advanced coherent DSP with silicon photonics integration to deliver reliable transmission performance while maintaining low power consumption.

“Power efficiency and interoperability are key priorities for operators deploying coherent optics in data center and edge networks, and you can expect to see accelerated expansion of the 100G ZR QSFP28 coherent module market,” stated Andrew Schmitt, Directing Analyst at Cignal AI.  “Arycs Technologies is addressing the high demand for a multi-vendor supply chain with its low-power 100G ZR QSFP28.”

As coherent pluggables move closer to the network edge, operators are increasingly seeking compact, power-efficient solutions that enable legacy 10G DWDM networks to be upgraded to 100G with minimal operational complexity. Arycs’ 100G ZR solution addresses this need through a compact QSFP28 form factor designed for seamless integration into routers and switches. Its unique software architecture also enables a smooth transition from legacy SFF-based management interfaces to modern CMIS-based network architectures.

“With AI, demand for coherent pluggables at the edge of the network continues to accelerate,” said Harald Graber, CCO of Arycs Technologies. “With our 100G ZR QSFP28-DCO solution, we enable network operators to deploy high-capacity 100G links directly from router ports while extending reach and simplifying network architecture without requiring changes to existing infrastructure.”

The Arycs 100G ZR QSFP28 coherent module supports interoperable deployment across optical infrastructure platforms and enables network operators to deploy coherent optics in compact pluggable form factors. By combining coherent transmission technology with a compact QSFP28 module design, Arycs enables scalable optical connectivity for modern distributed network architectures.
